Last week, we had a tornado blow through our small town, tornado sirens announcing its approach. Branches were ripped from our trees as I ran for our safe room. The winds were reported to be between 60 and 80 miles per hour.
Insurance Should Build Confidence, not Stress
If you are like my family, you have insurance. Insurance for your cars, your home, and life insurance.
Having these contracts is supposed to bring comfort.
Then Why Worry?
Claiming use of your insurance means phone calls, appointments, rentals, and quotes–all activities that lead to headaches.
Do you agree?
Interesting Fact
Insure means to make sure.*
God Wants You to Live Worry Free
How do you live without worry when stressful news hits you daily?
Great question!
The Israelites Stressed
The Israelites needed food in the desert, and God provided mana. Food from heaven every day except on the Sabbath.
He promised to take care of them, and He did.
AKA God’s Insurance
Isn’t it odd how we are told to fear food, the very thing God created for us to survive?
Have you heard these same headlines? There isn’t enough food. Crops are failing due to extreme weather. Prices will go up. Some natural food is said to hurt your body. Yes, some people have medical conditions and need to make decisions accordingly.
But the big message is to fear food lack, food prices, and that food is hurting you at some level.
Who wants you to stress about food?
The devil.

Let’s Pray!
God, thank you for my reader. Will you guide them to see what they no longer need to worry about it? When temptation comes to grab it back, gently remind them that you are more than capable to guide and provide every minute of this day. Thank you! Amen.

Yes, food fear. That’s been going on for some time, and it is one more of the enemy’s strategies. And these days, we are wise to fear food – the huge corporate food manufacturers are interested in getting their products out there, in a form that is appealing to our eyes, noses, and tongues, but not necessarily healthful for our bodies. Our well-being is not their concern. Thus we have wheat cultivars that have been genetically modified so grossly that our bodies convert the flour into toxins that poison us instead of nourishing our bodies.
We want to return to more natural sources of food, but we are road-blocked there, too: A friend of mine who keeps a little flock of chickens discovered a few weeks ago that the grain she has been buying for them has been genetically modified to prevent egg production. That can’t be an accident …
I’m a scratch cook, so most of the foodstuffs I buy are whole, not processed. I don’t buy into the organic thing much because that whole industry has been badly corrupted, too. Even things like checking the labels of canned goods, like plain beans I buy for making chili – most beans have both sugar and EDTA (a preservative) added (Why do plain beans need sugar in them? – we’re not talking baked beans – To ensure that consumers develop diabetes, which benefits Big Pharma – it’s a hand-in-glove collaboration). (Black beans tend to be pretty clean of junk – beans, water, salt.) But I do what I can, and I remain healthy.
I won’t go on here, but it is quite evident that the enemy hits us from every possible angle, not just spiritually. We must gird ourselves in Ephesians’ armor and be ready when we meet the lion who seeks to consume us.
Thanks for stopping by, Sally. You bring up some strong points that can make us wiser, or seek more wisdom. I keep praying for “truth” to be revealed, as I trust in our Lord. I do love your “scratch cook” term. 😋😉
I’m so grateful you and your family are safe after the tornado hit your town, and that you have a safe room. Heaven-bound insurance is a gift I’m also grateful to have.
You are sweet, Dianne. I love it! “Heaven-bound insurance,” that has a ring to it. 😌😊
